  • Administration and edition of measuring programs and measuring value files
  • Processing of production data such as information about customer, inspector, or tool
  • Statistical evaluation of measured values in the form of histograms, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.
  • Printout of all evaluations possible
  • Selection of functions via command buttons or menus
  • Visustat-Software languages selectable (German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese)

Applications:

The Visustat program by Mahr can be used for transmitting the measuring values of one or several Digimar DX 1 instruments to a master computer (PC) where they are stored and are available for statistical evaluations. Furthermore, measuring programs can be transmitted from/to the master computer. If required, measuring programs can even be edited with Visustat. All printers and plotters compatible to Windows can be used for outputting measuring records.

By connecting several Digimar DX 1 instruments to a master computer used in quality control, it is possible to plan and perform quality assurance.

The data structures of the Digimar DX 1 files are identical to those of the master computer files. The number of measuring programs is only limited by the hard disk storage capacity of the master computer. Up to 40 measuring programs can be stored for one program family.

Applications Cont'd:

All measuring values of a program family are saved in a common database. The database editor can also be used for 'repairing' the database. A similar function is also integrated into the Digimar DX 1.

Statistics

Up to 6 statistics windows are displayed at the same time. All displays are proportional to the chosen window size, i.e. a whole graphics can be indicated even in case of relatively small windows.

Control charts
Two charts are indicated: either the mean value chart with the range chart or the mean value chart with the standard deviation chart (sigma chart). If the Cpk value is smaller than 1.0, a warning is displayed and the operator is asked to perform a 100% inspection. In case the cursor is moved in the control chart window, the sample number is shown above the cursor line. If you click the line of a sample, the sample information is displayed in a window and, if desired, a comment can be chosen and saved. Samples to which a comment has been assigned are marked by 'C'. A table indicating all sample information is printed below the control charts. If the control chart possesses more than 25 samples, only samples with a comment are printed out.

Production data
The DX 1 can save production data for each measured value. It is thus possible to sort long-time evaluations by using a data filter. Production data are e.g. order number, customer name, machine type, operator, etc. Up to 5 tables with 50 lines each are available for these data. They are normally entered and chosen via the DX 1, but it is also possible to input them on the master computer. Each program family has its own data tables. If a new family is opened, the data tables of the previous family are set and can be adapted afterwards.
