Gage Calibration with Mahr and QMSOFT

Gage calibration is an important topic for a company's qualification system. Its importance is particularly emphasized by the ISO 9000 to 9004 (and EN 29000 to 29004, respectively) standards. These standards demand for complete and regular inspection of all measurement and test tools in operation.
QMSOFT gage calibration covers the actual measurement and testing, the comparison of results with standardized nominal values (nominal-to-actual comparison) and a variety of management activities for maintaining the gage data stock.
The QMSOFT system is a modern, modular software package for measuring, storing, and documenting standard test instruments such as gages, plug gages, dial indicators, or snap gages.
Computer-aided gage calibration is only efficient, if all of the three necessary steps are at least in part controlled by the PC. QMSOFT includes a variety of matched routines (QMSOFT modules) that may be used for practical gage calibration tasks and cover the above mentioned steps (measurement, tolerances, management). These routines ideally supplement the length measuring, gage block and dial indicator testing instruments used for this purpose.

  • PC-based management (storage, history, evaluation) of any inspection tools contained in a gage database; possibility to manage several independent data inventories,
  • automatic nominal value generation (tolerance calculations) for the most common types of inspection tools (e.g. plain gages, threaded gages, etc.) according to numerous national and international standards,
  • comprehensive menu support for conducting standardized measurements and direct connection between measuring instrument and PC,
  • integrated management and
    measurement, i.e. direct storage of the test results in the gage database,
  • the strict modular approach offers high flexibility and expansion possibilites; customized adjustments can be made at any time.

DABAQ 4W (basic version)

828 WIN NT Evalutaion/Software

828 WIN NT is the powerful software integrated into 828 CiM and other Precimar products. It can be added as an upgrade to older 828 manual machines, enabling these machines to have the full features described below.

  • Automatic determination of nominal values and tolerances after entering testpiece-specific data

  • Measuring task related measuring forces between 0 N (0 ozf) and 12 N (43.16 ozf). For easy call-up, the measuring forces employed most frequently can be saved as pictographs. Their exactness and reproducibility is ensured by an electronic measuring force monitoring system.
